Killing of member of the Resistance
German troops involved in the great rounding-up operation on Pratomagno, led by the II Battalion of the 3rd Rgt. Brandenburg, attacked Monteborgnoli at first light. The entire hamlet, which had been the operational headquarters of the Command Company of the III Battalion of the XXIII Brigata “Pio Borri”, was burnt to the ground and some inhabitants rounded up and deported. During the action a man was captured and executed.
